Feel Like a New Man
#11
RE: Feel Like a New Man
Yes I am now dreaming. I was dreaming before, but it was not as vivid as it now. I have noticed it takes longer for me to wake up in the morning. I guess that is because before treatment I never really slept. The only issues I have is my mouth opens at night and with the nasal pillows it make a good bit of noise. I tried a full face mask but I cannot get used to it after using the nasal pillows. I have a generic chin strap but it is not working as well as I would like. I have ordered another type and will give it a try. One thing is for sure, I will not sleep with out my CPAP running.

We tend to only hear the people with problems, so it's good to hear the success stories. Especially someone who figured it out despite medical advice.

When I read, "Feel Like a New Man," the idea came to my mind that the next sentence might be "I feel so good after starting CPAP that I feel like dumping my husband and found a new boyfriend." Grin

Archangel, you troublemaker! I do feel like a new woman and I am having trouble not loving my Autoset more than my husband! Does the Autoset qualify as an inanimate boyfriend?

RE: Feel Like a New Man
Greetings Mich,

Well, I don't know about "an inanimate boyfriend" but I DO know that the first time I went back to the sleep specialist with my APAP and the front desk staff took my APAP away from me I almost panicked! I thought - how will they know whose APAP is whose?? Will I get MY APAP back?? ARGH!!!!

So, me being me, I set about personalizing my APAP. I looked at various "skins" for the ResMed S9 Autoset and decided the price was not for me. So, I made my own skin from border wallpaper, covered the pre-pasted backing with clear shipping tape and used removable tape to adhere the wallpaper to the APAP. And here it is!

I also put my name on both pieces with a P-touch label machine.
