Filter change in back of machine

Filter change in back of machine
I have a Phillips Bi-pap machine and have not changed the filter in the back for a while.  Could someone please remind me if the smoother side of the filter faces outside or into the machine?

Can't you go online and see what their manual recommends?

Does this filter have mesh side? PR System One right? If yes, mesh faces in.

Alternate: shiny vs smooth, shiny towards device.

The mesh or rougher side of the filter goes toward the inside of machine.
The smooth side of the white fine filter faces outward or against the black foam filter.
