First Night with CPAP - help adjusting settings
Hello everyone,
I took a Lofta at-home sleep study test and was diagnosed with mild to moderate sleep apnea. I tried my ResMed AirSense 11 last night for the first time with the default settings (pressure 4-20). I was wondering if someone could help me adjust the pressure settings (and any others) based on this OSCAR data:
I was also curious about this CA event. It looks like I wasn't breathing for like ~15 seconds and the mask pressure remained at a constant ~4. Isn't the machine supposed to increase the pressure when that happens to force me to breathe?
Thank you!

I forgot to include that I did find myself waking up a few times because I’d open my mouth and I’d feel a bunch of air leaving my mouth, so that is likely why the leak graph looks like that.

Did you have a lot of CAs in your sleep study? If you don't know, please post a copy of the study with your personal data removed. Ask your doctor's office for one if you don't have a copy. In the US, they must provide it if you ask.
Your leaks are not high enough to worry about, so don't for now.
Your Oscar chart could use a little help. Press the fn key to copy your chart. That will give us most of what we need to see. Make sure we can read to the very bottom of the flow limits.
You are doing quite well for your first night. It takes time for your body and mind to adapt to a foreign object attached to your face and blowing air up your nose, so don't be discouraged.
Again, welcome, and best wishes for achieving great therapy and comfort!

Thank you! I'm attaching 2 new images. Let me know if they're ok

!
It won't let me attach the pdf of my sleep report and it won't let me add screenshots :/
RE: First Night with CPAP - help adjusting settings
You have an extremely low minimal pressure setting of 4. It does not rise much as you experience mostly central apneas (aka clear airway apneas). No obstructive apneas were shown. It is obstructive apneas and hypopneas that are treated by PAP therapy.
You have no obstructive apnea events, only 3 hypopneas which is normal.
You have many CAs (clear airways aka central apneas) on your OSCAR report. I would be concerned that the attempt at therapy is creating CAs. CAs can appear while getting used to PAP therapy. With such a low min. pressure setting you have I am surprised not to see OAs.
Were you recommended pressure levels for your machine by the sleep study?

The Forum experienced a period of server overload which may have prevented you from posting your sleep study report.

The sleep study needs to be images that aren't PDF. You would then attach like the OSCAR charts. Low pressure with low Obstructive Apnea but higher Central, you might have had them in the test.
If you're limited in attachments, just find the table for your events and count, possibly the doctor recommendation as well.
Mask Primer
Positional Apnea
Attach OSCAR, etc.

The recommendation just said 4-20 :/
Does this mean I shouldn't be using a CPAP machine?

It seems like your APAP has a very wide range. Would definitely recommend trying to narrow the range (I usually get the best results on a fixed pressure). You could also try getting it titrated in a lab?
