Thank you so much!
I tried APAP 7-10 and then fixed on 9 (felt to high after one night) so then i tried patiently on my bed in multiple sleeping positions (mostly side) what felt good, tried it 3 times up and down and I came to 7.6 that felt comfortable.
After a few nights with 7.6 I really felt better.
So I checked with the doctor, he gave me pressure 8 to try (came from 6) so now I know that he’ll be OK with anything between 6-8. I prefer a fixed pressure.
I live in Europe, my country’s healthcare insurance pays almost everything for my therapy, including the CPAP, heated tube, mask replacements..
..But I have to comply with the therapy every day, and visit my doctor specialist / doctor in the hospital every year to get an approval for a new year. He’ll check if I comply.
I’ve heard that they don’t like it when you play with the settings so I had to be careful, to avoid central apnea and keep the good relation with my doctor.
But what I’ve learned from this is that when you, as a patient don’t speak up and insist or try to optimize things in a responsible way yourself: nothing will happen.
The numbers look good, bye.
You don’t feel good? Then go see a psychologist because a CPAP can not solve other problems..
Can you imagine if I would’ve stayed on 6, keeping my mouth shut, thinking that it was my imagination, feeling physically and mentally unwell.. but now, with just a small adjustment I got these great results.
Fingers crossed!
