Goodbye ResMed Airsense S10, Hello ResMed Airsense 11
Good morning all.  It has been awhile since I was last year but I wanted to update you on the issues I've been having.  The machine had only been in service since March, 2020 and had a little over 10,000 run hours.  For the last year, I have been experiencing daytime sleepiness even though I had been using using my ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset religiously.

When I expressed my sleepiness symptoms to my (now former) sleep doctor, she wanted to put me on medication to "Enhance my wakefulness".

I ended up changing doctors about 8 months later.

Some of the issues I was seeing was I had intermittent error messages stating I had a "Heating System Fault, therapy will run without heating" even though the humidifier heating plate was almost hot to the touch.  I had other intermittent issues where ResScan (and MyAir) would have apnea events reported even though the machine was turned off.  I found this out by using OSCAR which only records events when the machine is turned on.

Fast forward to my first visit with my present sleep doctor in November.  She listened to my concerns and didn't dismiss them.

I sent a message to my sleep doctor through the patient portal in early March still complaining of sleepiness issues.  The doctor's off ice sent an order to my DME provider to repair or replace my machine.

My S10 was sent off to ResMed 3/14 and was received by them 3/21.

Last Friday, my DME called me that they had received an estimate to repair my existing S10 and it was just under $900.00.

What ResMed said was the following:

"The complaint of Heating was confirmed.  Failure due to PCB heater Assembly.  Error log shows Humidity over temperature.  Further inspection found these additional problems: Dust contamination to the Motor, chassis inlet seal and air outlet.  The following repairs are required for the unit to function properly: Main PCB, Motor, chassis inlet seal and air outlet."

Based on this, I ended up with a ResMed AirSense 11 Autoset on Monday.  I feel like the fog is beginning to lift.  The only issue I am having at the moment is I can't get data from my new machine downloaded into ResScan.  OSCAR works though.

The older versions of ResScan won't work with the AirSense 11 machines.  You will need Version 7.0.1 which you can find in the "Private Files and Links Forum".

Thank you for the feedback.  I am using (what I believe is the latest version) of ResScan.

I am still having issues. Think I need a new SD card.

I ended up ordering a 32GB SD Card on Amazon.  Received the card yesterday and used it last night.

I was able to upload into ResScan without issue.  I had detailed data folders on the old SD Card, that I copied to a folder on my laptop.  I copied these folders into the DATALOG folder on the new SD Card and was able to upload ALL of my Detailed Data into ResScan without issue.

Life is good.

For your information, the AS11 is not restricted to a 32GB size card. It has been successfully tested with a 128GB card.

For how long does it save detailed data on the card? Older machines saved only 7 days IIRC.
