Help! Still snoring

Help! Still snoring
Hi!
I would like to know if since I am still snoring (wake myself up snoring) some nights. Is that indicative that my minimum pressure should be increased? My mask leak is minimal so I don't think that is why I'm snoring and if my mouth was open I think my leak would be larger. It's not every night either. Still trying to hone in on my therapy, some days I feel rested other days I feel like I did before diagnosis. Any input is welcome. Thank you!

RE: Help! Still snoring
i don't any kind of nose thing. i'm thinking snores come out your mouth so the lips must be opening for the snore to be a snore. they must be opening just enough to snore but not far enough or long enough to register as a leak. you can use things to hold the jaw closed but there's not much you can do to hold your lips closed without taping.

RE: Help! Still snoring
You are bumping up against your high-pressure setting, and your median pressure is 9, so I think you should raise your pressures to 9 to 15.

I can't see your settings, but your flow limits are very high.  I suggest raising your EPR full-time to 3.  If you are already set there, it's possible that you need a Vauto machine instead of an AirSense.  If you want to consider getting one, you can read the post I made on how to get a Vauto.  A link at the bottom of this post will take you there.

You don't show much snoring, so I wouldn't worry about it unless it's waking you up.

Good luck at improving your therapy and comfort!  Smile

RE: Help! Still snoring
You definitely need more pressure.  Try setting your minimum pressure to 9cm to start and raise your maximum to 14cm.  Your flow limits are a little high, although the pressure change may help that, if not you may need to set the EPR at 3.  Just change the minimum and maximum pressure for now. Also, work on your leaks, they are not real bad, but small leaks can cause arousals.

Try the new pressure settings for a few days then post some more OSCAR charts.

Good luck.

Thank you for your input, I will adjust my settings first and see how it goes from there. It's so important to try to get it titrated right, I feel like I'm heading in the right direction though.

Thank you for your post! I have my EPR at 2 right now. I will increase my minimum and maximum pressure. I thought if my flow limit was under .10 that I was doing ok in that area. I guess ideally it should be 0 is that even possible? I will try the EPR 3 if things don't improve with the pressure change. Thanks for the info on the other machine as well.

Thanks Great Uncle Bill... My doctor advised against the mouth taping already due to having a deviated septum. I appreciate your input.
