RE: Help for positiional apnea
A couple of weeks ago, I posted that I was trying to find help for what I had determined to be positional apnea. I decided to go to my sleep neurologist, he looked at my tracings and confirmed "mostly" positional apnea. I asked for a prescription for a positional device called Night Shift - which is now covered by Medicare.  But then I decided I should try sleeping on my side for a night prior to getting the device, because I nearly always sleep on my back.  I used my husband's Woody Knows and also a pillow between my knees. Unfortunately, my hips were in too much pain, and I had to resume sleeping on my back.  But I kept searching, and discovered something I hadn't previously seen anywhere - the BALAPET Body Pillow
 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CKXLL252?ref...tle_1&th=1.
I also ordered a longer, cushier leg pillow, because I had been told that sleeping with your legs together while on your side, could cause hip pain.  Once again, it was a failed effort and I gave up about half way through the night.
I convinced my husband, who has severe positional apnea and who had been using a WoodyKnows AND a cervical collar, to try the Balapet, instead of the WoodyKnows.  We used the Wellue overnight recording O2 device to monitor his O2 rating.  Holy cow! His tracings were higher than they had ever been.  So the next night I convinced him use the Balapet without the WoodyKnows and without the cervical collar.  Same results, even a little better.  My husband said sleeping inside the trough formed by the pillow was comfortable for him.
FWIW, I think a person might need to have a cooler casing made for this device when sleeping in the summer or any warm environment, because its casing is furry and warm. But we're both on board for getting a new cooler casing made.
I hope this helps someone.
