Help with O2 and HR data interpretation

Help with O2 and HR data interpretation
Hi all,

I have been on my APAP journey for the last 10 months or so. Diagnosed with mild OSA (AHI - 8.7, RDI 8.7, only hypopneas, nadir O2 91%).

Struggled for the first 1.5 months but then felt pretty good for 7 months with no issues.
All of a sudden in end of February waking up quite often and couldn't tolerate the CPAP for longer than a few hours. Waking up with a strange sensation across my head, light headaches, and fatigued during the day, dark circles under my eyes.
Went to the GP and they said possibly due to my large turbinates and beginning of allergy season. Waiting to see an ENT. On a course of Ryaltris. I had no RERAs on my sleep study so I thought maybe its not UARS?

Decided to not use the CPAP for the last few weeks as I felt that was the main reason it was making me tired. But even without CPAP wasn't feeling great. Same symptoms continued
Decided to get a WellU O2 ring to see what else could be happening.

During my trial without the CPAP, I do notice I feel significantly better when my time between 90-94% sats is pretty low: say < 5 minutes and its stable
But when my 90% - 94% sats is in the 20 minutes or over I don't feel great. I don't have any drops of < 90%

I have attached my last 2 nights of sleep data with going back on the CPAP to trial. No issues with tolerating the cpap which is good.

Friday night - slept well (albeit late) and felt pretty good the next day
Saturday night - slept ok, but woke up a number of times with the weird sensation across my head. Felt average the next day

Some questions and thanks in advance:

  - Why do I have so many pulse change events? Is that normal?
  - Why on Friday so I have barely any SpO2 drops (SD) on oscar, but on Saturday night I have so many (shown on the event flags)
  - Saturday night CPAP data looks good but why is my HR and SpO2 all over the place? Friday was much better. Nothing changed between the two nights that I can think of. Technically if I used the CPAP and had low AHI, wouldn't be SpO2 be more stable?

I have many other questions but I thought I would start with this

Thanks so much for your help

RE: Help with O2 and HR data interpretation
Hello,

Generally your graphs look excellent. Personally I don't see any data in your graphs that would explain your observation. I could only speculate, say underlying health issues or lifestyle, which I know doesn't help much.

As a precaution, I would be inclined to check your blood pressure and pulse twice in the morning, and twice in the afternoon for a week, work out the averages on an Excel sheet and if you are concerned, check with your doctor. That is the normal protocol here.

One thought though, your sleep test should have flagged this problem. Perhaps you could post a copy with your personal details redacted. Maybe a clue there..

RE: Help with O2 and HR data interpretation
Thanks
Nothing I can think of re: change in lifestyle or stress (that I know of - nothing is keeping me awake at night or I am not ruminating on things overnight)
Blood test results came back ok - except mild vit D deficiency that I am treating

Attached my sleep study.
I also attached my OSCAR charts from last night. Feel pretty bad today - but it COULD be due to swapping to my F30i hence the leaks (been using the FP solo pillows with great success, however its giving me a sore tip of my nose so having a break from it)
