Help with Wellvue O2 ring readings

Help with Wellvue O2 ring readings
For the past month, I've been monitoring my O2 levels while I wait for my at-home sleep study and my readings have been very good and consistent until last night. My last 20 scores have either been a 9.8 or higher (8 have been 10s), but last night I suddenly scored a 7.5. The previous night I scored a 9.6 which actually alarmed me (silly, I know), but the latest score has me worked up a bit. Over the past month, my scores haven't been below 9.1, but I'm wondering what could have caused such a drastic change. It doesn't help that I have my study on Monday, so I'm getting anxious now. Although I know O2 scores alone won't diagnose sleep apnea, I was feeling confident going into this test based on my O2 readings so far. Does anyone else experience random inconsistencies from their oximeters?

Yes, I have. I spent 2 years during the pandemic trying to use a Wellvue ring, before returning to CPAP. The Wellvue ring should not be trusted, as the information was not inline with my sleep study. Wellvue has a +- of 4% which over time can can lead to a lot of discomfort and damage.

After 2 years using only Wellvue and sleep position therapy, I have returned to CPAP. I recommend to stay with CPAP and treat Wellvue information with a grain of salt.

Good luck
