Help with clear airway events
Hello all, I am a new cpap user. Using the Aircurve 10 vauto bilevel machine. I got the bilevel because my sleep study showed low AHI but high RERAS and thus I suspected UARS. I am currently on fixed 7.6/3.6 pressure, and all of my AHI seems to be centrals. The higher pressure, the more centrals. I have only been using the cpap for about a week consistently, and I understand this could be treatment emergent, but I am wondering if there is anything else I can do to reduce the centrals. Thank you!

RE: Help with clear airway events
Hello, this site uses the free Oscar software , please download and repost . Spend a little time reading how to post a correct chart. Keep everything in this thread instead of starting a new one. You will get some knowledgeable help..

Oh ok, I didn’t realize a screenshot of sleephq wouldn’t suffice. I can’t download Oscar on my iPad so will have to wait.

Ok, I was able to download Oscar and read up on proper posting. Please see attached to see if there is anything I can do to reduce the centrals. Thank you so much. I do not think my sleep test showed any centrals.

RE: Help with clear airway events
Post a copy of your sleep report with your info redacted though.
Setting trigger to high or very high will probably lower the CAs Change out of BiLevel-S mode to Vauto mode to score flow limitations.

RE: Help with clear airway events
@Jdougc, thanks so much for the advice. I set trigger to very high and only had a 1.9ahi last night. Still mostly CAs but much less. I went to change to Vauto, but it won’t let me go below an EPR of 4. Since I have been using a 3 epr, I didn’t want to jump up as I’ve read higher EPRs can contribute to CAs. Is there any way to use a lower min epr on vauto? Would like to get the flow limitation data. Thank you.
