High AHI but low pressure
High AHI but low pressure
I just had a split night sleep study. It showed that I had severe OSA (AHI around 80). When they did the CPAP, the technician told me he expected I would need a high pressure. However, it looks like a pressure of 5 pretty much got rid of all apneas with a few central apneas emerging as he turned the pressure up toward 8. Any thoughts on why I'd have a high AHI but then respond to even low pressure so completely? Wondering if it speaks to anything about the anatomy or physiology of my sleep apnea. Thanks!
