RE: Highrateleaker therapy thread
Thanks - I hadn't felt short of air since the first few days, but last night 4 was not enough air. I tried putting it in CPAP mode at 6 and 7, probably a little too much air. I figured out how to get to all of the greyed out options this morning, so I will try in auto mode tonight with a minimum of 6 or 7.

Here's the data from last night. I got the Airtouch mask today, so hopefully we'll see better performance tonight.

Last night was the first night with the AirTouch F20.
Significantly improved seal. Looks like the first 90 minutes didn't record.

Highrateleaker Therapy Thread
Hi there - I'm a little over 4 months in to using my CPAP. Had some challenges with the mask (hence the username) but switching to memory foam helped a lot.
Attaching some somewhat representative data from the last week. I have min pressure set to 7. Big picture, I eventually qualified for the CPAP despite a 10.4 AHI on my sleep study because I was having memory issues due to lack of sleep. My sleep is poor because I wake up at the end of every sleep cycle to go to the bathroom, so 4-5x/night. Eventually I just can't fall asleep anymore because I've gotten up so many times. (I have seen two urologists and they haven't found anything that would cause it. I went to a sleep specialist and they referred me to CBTI.) At any rate, I was hoping the CPAP would help me sleep more deeply, but that does not seem to be the case. Any feedback greatly appreciated!

A few questions for you:
Why is your usage time less than 5 hours per night? Do you sleep without the machine for a while? Have you tried restricting fluids starting around 4 hours before bed-time? Do you avoid diuretic food and drink (e.g., apples, alcohol, coffee, tea, watermelon, celery) for around 6 hours before sleep? When you wake up, do you feel an urgent need to urinate, or is it more that you figure "I'm awake, I might as well get up and go to the bathroom?" Do you pee frequently during the day?

RE: Highrateleaker Therapy Thread
OSCAR seems to be dropping the first 90-minute sleep cycle when it imports from the SD card. I also have trouble falling asleep with the mask on after the 3rd or 4th time I go to the bathroom, so once I've crossed 4 hours for compliance, I try to get a little bit more sleep with it off.
I've done everything - no alcohol, soda, or caffeine for 8 hours. Have cut off liquids as early as 1:30 pm with no impact. The list of potential diuretics that the urologist gave me is very long, and there doesn't seem to be a specific food that has any impact. When I wake up, I feel an urgent need to urinate, and it prevents me from falling asleep. This has been true since I was a kid, though the 4-5x nightly wake-ups is only the last year or so. I don't pee an inordinate amount during the day, but certainly more than my wife and kid, who are like camels. Urology and sleep medicine gave up on me because it's not a straightforward problem to solve. CBTI is really for people with night-time anxiety or poor sleep hygiene that prevents them from falling asleep. I pass out in 2 minutes after I put the mask on.

Did your urologist check how well your voiding your bladder? Sure sounds like your not emptying it. Symptoms sure match up. I am almost 70 and think its amazing if I only wake up once during the night. I always hit the head before going back to sleep. My typical night is getting up between 1 and 3am and again between 4 and 5am. Dog chases my lazy bones out of bed at 6:15am sharp.

Ultrasounds (multiple) showed full voiding. I'm literally empty and generate a full bladder in 90 minutes while I'm asleep. I'm also only 45. Even my dad, who's 75, and had a TERP and voiding issues, uses the bathroom less than I do.
On the plus side, the CPAP stopped my snoring, so my wife is happy.

From a trusted web site:
https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-cond...c-20355721 You’ll see there are drugs and procedures to help with overactive bladder, if that’s in fact what you have. I’d encourage additional follow-up with a urologist.
