Hypoxic Burden Calculation: OSCAR? SpO2 Assistant?

Hypoxic Burden Calculation: OSCAR? SpO2 Assistant?
Does anyone know if OSCAR programming folks are thinking about adding "hypoxic burden" to their oximetry reports?  The current oximetry statistics reported by OSCAR are basic.

I use a Contec wrist oximeter overnite. The data is anyalyzed on SpO2 Assistant program for Windows, which produces a detailed Oximetry report in addition to the strip chart graphs.  This program does not produce a report of "hypoxic burden" which is a relatively new way of assessing desaturation events beyond the usual Index (ODI) , % O2 under 90%, lowest O2, etc.

I will also reach out to the SpO2 assistant program people but I have not yet figured out how to contact them.

While the CPAP certainly helps reduce the oxygen desaturation events, I actually feel more rested when I do not use the CPAP and also have less nighttime awakenings.  I am not sure I want to continue CPAP if I can get any assurance that my level of desaturations, at my age (over 70) may not be all that harmful given my otherwise general good health. My Sleep specialist is concerned, but will not take the time to discuss the current medical literature, but I am not convinced by the current medical literature that I am getting much benefit.  Looking at the "hypoxic burden" is another newer way of looking at the oxygen data, that may have additional prognostic value.

I have also been looking at Wesper because it appears to calculate "hypoxic burden", (based on the area under the desaturation curve),  in addition to the usual oximetry data.  But, since I already have an oximeter, I am looking for a way to calculate the hypoxic burden with the device data I have now.

I am not one of the people who could tell you anything on your question.  But if you would download and use OSCAR, post the charts that I have in my signature, I am sure we could help you with your therapy.

The OSCAR Team currently doesn't have this on the to-do list.
