If a provider has my device Serial #, are they able to access my data forever more?

If a provider has my device Serial #, are they able to access my data forever more?
I contacted the original retailer of the PAP machine, and asked 'do you have any of my reports?'
They said 'no, but if you give us your order number, we can pull the reports and send them to your doctor.'
I assume they were going to get the S/N from the order, and then download the reports from my machine over the cell network.

I did not provide the numbers because I did not want the retailer to have access to the reports forever more.
What software do you think they would be using? I am aware of 3 commerical types for ResMed machines:
-myAir, which is the basic patient report system
-AirView, which seems to be directed toward clinicians/providers
-ResScan, again directed toward clinicians/providers

My guess is they may be using AirView, which seems more like the provider version of myAir. ResScan cannot download files remotely as far as I am aware.
My question is, along the chain of treatment, can anyone who gets hold of your serial number then pull your reports remotely forever more?
I wouldn't be comfortable with that.

First "they" would need a license to AirView, which no one I know of has, then they would have access, likely with some form of id from you, serial number but I don't know.

Within that realm, yes they would have access to your data and have the ability to generate reports.

Interesting. What software do most providers use for remote viewing of patient data?

Thank you for your reply  Smile

I believe AirView.
Rescan is a direct read of the SD card.

Is AirView cloud based like Philips Care Orchestrator?
