Incompatible cpap vs air hose

Incompatible cpap vs air hose
I was issued a machine by my provider - a Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV.  I was also issued Climateline Air hoses for it.

After noticing that there were no Climateline options on the setting screen it occurred to me I have the wrong machine for that type of hose.  The only setting options I see are Slimline and humidity. There are no Climate line on/off or temperature settings available.

So, a couple questions:

  1. Confirm my ASV and heated hoses are not compatible.
  2. Is there a reason to prefer one hose over another?
Thanks.

Additional info: the "model" number on the unit is "Device #393, Ref 37162."  Interestingly, there is no model #37162" found anywhere in Resmed's support, but there is a #37612.  I sent a support request to Resmed about this and got no reply.

The Climateline tube for the Airsense and Aircurve 10 is #37296, and the device will automatically detect it and set the tube type. If it fits the outlet tube it will work. If not, you may have received the Climateline for the Airsense 11. The end of the Airsense 10 is a 90 degree end and the 11 fits straight to the device. Resmed Aircurve #37162 is registered with FCC as the Aircurve 10 ASV model. https://fcc.report/FCC-ID/2ACHL-AIR104GU/6181749.pdf

RE: Incompatible cpap vs air hose
Thanks.

A couple replies:

  1. The hose is #37298, with a 90 degree fitting and seems to fit fine.
  2. Does the ASV unit's settings automatically detect the hose and change the options to show the Climateline?  Because mine does not show Climateair settings, it only shows the slimline.
  3. Thanks for finding the registration. Unfortunately, there is no reference to that model # anywhere on Resmed's support.  There are two similar model #s in support though, and one is intended for Slimline hoses and the other for ClimateAir.
Aircurve 10 ASV

Between the different numbers on the unit and the hose, I am wondering if my supplier has different model numbers for the wholesale supplies.  Neither my unit #37162 or hose #37298 appear on Resmed's web site.  But they are similar to the "retail" numbers on the site.

The correct hose, #37296, is the one Sleeprider showed in his response -- and yes, it automatically detects the hose and makes the changes as needed.

Thanks.

This supplier's product page implies the two model numbers are interchangeable. The supplier confirmed there is no difference.

SOLVED RE: Incompatible cpap vs air hose
SOLVED.

After being informed here that the unit auto-detects the hose, I went back and checked more closely.   Oh boy do I feel dumb.

Apparently, the hose was not firmly plugged into the unit.  I unplugged/re-plugged the hose, and the unit automatically detected the ClimateAir hose.

Thanks.
