Intential Leak or Unintentional Leak?

Intential Leak or Unintentional Leak?
I’m trying a new mask. The F&P Evora Full Face. 1st night using it. Was/am also using the P10.

My Oscar data for the first night shows a pretty steady leak (see images). Is that the intentional leak from venting or unintentional leak I should be concerned about. When using the P10 it shows zero leaks most of the time, so I do not think it is my machine.

Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset (had it less than a year), BiPap, Pressure Min=8 Max=14, Mask setting Full Face. (I even tried the pillows setting, no real change in how much leak it was showing).

No noticeable leaks or air flow anywhere other than the front vents. I thought maybe the mask has a smaller leak I can’t find. Should I return the mask for a replacement? I checked the whole mask and hose and found no air flow, but there could be a small hole but would a small hole make that much of a leak?

It is almost a straight line and under the red line threshold, so I am guessing intentional leak but I am new so I am 100% not sure.

Here is my Oscar data for the whole night and for a 10 or so minute section.

Thanks in advance! Any advice or knowledge is appreciated!

When you are viewing this data, keep in mind that your machine is displaying the rate of unintentional leaks. Your mask is designed to allow a certain level of intentional leaks, but that is not factored into the data your machine reports to you

I understand that the machine takes the Intentional Leak rate and subtracts it from the total leak rate to provide the unintentional leak rate. My question is, is this leak rate showing up because the mask is faulty or because the machine is not accurately calculating the unintentional leak rate? Because the fit is good and there is no obvious leak to be fixed, yet a leak is showing during the entire sessions use of the mask.

I was hoping someone with an Evora or similar mask would be able to take a look and tell me if they also have this type of steady leak.

I used a different sized mask insert and it had way less leakage last night, so I am 99% sure it is the mask insert that has the leak issue. Going to call the vendor today and ask for a replacement for it. Thanks again for the help!

The ResMed leak showing in OSCAR is the unintentional leaking. Any of this helps determine how badly the mask or your mouth leaks as applicable. The Philips Respironics machines for one, do show both intentional and unintentional leak as a combo chart.

But again with ResMed the leaks showing are definitely the unintentional. As you approach the ResMed leak redline of 24 L/Min, this indicates how severe the leaking would be graded.
