Is this mouth breathing on flow r. Experiencing aerophagia with pressure above 6cmH20
Hi all
I tolerated 5 hours a few nights ago, the longest I have ever gone with cpap. Pressure was 6-14cmH20, but never went above 6.
The following night I tried 6.5 min pressure. Managed a couple of hours but woke with bad bloating, abdominal pain, burping etc etc.
Just wondering if this flow rate chart below shows mouth-breathing? I have resmed full face mask. Could mouth breathing on full face mask cause aerophagia? I seem to have a very low aerophagia threshold.
I always try to fall asleep with my tongue in the roof of my mouth, and breathing through my nose. I get chipmunk cheeks if I try to mouth breath.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Jon
