JDWeger - Therapy Thread
Hello all,

Newbie to forum and also just started investigating Oscar data yesterday....only been with APAP for 3 months.

I keep reading here and elsewhere that Flow Limitation should be between 0 and 1.  However, Oscar has been showing numbers between 8 and 14 (example of one day below).  Is the number below (12.28) a percent and should be taken to mean 0.1228 to coincide with the 0 to 1 I read about?  Or do I have a major problem!  Or just plain messed up data.

Thanks, JD

RE: Wacko Flow Limitation Results?
Hi JDWeger! - Welcome
The 0-1 parameter refers to a Resmed only. I don't know how the Resvent reports this parameter.

Renewed newbie with question
Hello...
Still a newbie....actually, a renewed newbie....I CPAPed from 2013-2017....lost weight and sleep doc said I could stop using and so I stopped.  Lost more weight, took overnight home study recently with an inkling feeling I wasn't "cured", and sure enough still bad...32 AHI.  Anyway, got on new CPAP 3 months ago, just talked to a new doctor and he tells me everything's great.  Okay, but I told him I was feeling like crap...maybe felt "refreshed" maybe 2 nights since March.  His solution...sleep longer, more consistent bed time, and follow my circadian rhythm.  Okay...maybe that's part of it.  So I looked at results through Oscar and found tons of flow limitations which makes me think there is more to the story...like should I be limiting my APAP range, etc. Are there tips on finding a doctor who is willing to take a serious look in the weeds with my data?  Or are there reputable services online that provide that kind of help?

Thank you for reading!

RE: Renewed newbie with question
There is a polysomnographic tech with the YouTube name Lanky Lefty you may want to look up concerning consultation as well as doing a search for such as more is coming available.

Yes, a limited APAP range can be helpful for therapy.

ERP may help with Flow Limitations

A BiLevel machine can help even more with Flow Limitations.

Post an OSCAR report here and advice will be given on options for better therapy.
I only give suggestions from experience as a fellow CPAP user, not professional advice.

RE: JDWeger - Therapy Thread
JDWeger - All your threads were related to your therapy, with2 being the same title. For this reason, I have merged them. This provides the reader a history of your past settings and results. Having the ability to see past attempts and their results all in one place will help to form better recommendations. Also, having the threads merged eliminates cross-posting. Please use this thread for all your therapy related posts. I have changed the thread title to, JDWeger - Therapy Thread to be more inclusive.
