Make sure that the chin strap doesn't pull back, as that could make you apnea much worse. Chin straps should pull up not back.
Was your mouth dry after using the chin strap?  Maybe you can use something to keep your mouth from drying out, several people here use drops or something. Maybe they can provide the info
I use a 2 in roll of Kinesiology tape, regular original cotton elastic athletic tape, cut into 6 in pieces. It adheres even though Ii have a moustache and stubble.

I've actually been using it more. I have been taking it off after about 4 hours at night because it's waking me a lot, dry mouth etc... generally still just getting used to the whole thing. I'm slowly adjusting to it but I need sleep to function at work. I take it off and get my sleep.

I'm sleeping with it better bit by bit. I'm fine with taking the time. Isn't the idea that we build up over time so that we are eventually getting a full nights sleep?

Any thoughts on the data I shared?

Thanks

Mouth was dry with tape and maybe a bit less with the strap? Tape is a problem if I need a drink...thats why i tried the strap. Wondering if thats what increased my AHI last night? Hmmm

Your numbers like great except for the to short time. When you take the mask off, you are not getting any cpap benefits, you don't have data to see if you are having events.
Try using it longer on the weekends or when you have time off. It can be a struggle, but keep in mind the damage to your heart you could be experiencing by minimizing your time. Please keep in mind that these CPAP events can stress your heart.
Ask you doctor what you can do to help with dry mouth. Biotene can help a bit,

Thanks, yes I do realize I need the benefits for sure. Last night was best yet for sleeping and overall comfort with it. It's slowly getting better I think. I will keep going. I have next week off work so I will be using it more diligently. Cheers. : )
