Looking for suggestions - results of Oximeter Tests
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for me. I did buy a Wellue Oximeter and have worn it for multiple days.
Most days I start with the CPAP as well but due to other issues which I won't go in here, I remove it and only wear the oximeter.
I did an average over 7 days with the following results:
Oxygen Score = 9.5, Lowest O2 = 88, # of Drops (4%) = 9.2, Drops per Hr = 1.28
I think those numbers aren't too bad without a CPAP on and am wondering if I can improve them in other ways? (I did have a bad night of a score of 7.8 one night with one pillow).
So do you think a mouth guard or a cervical collar would help me even more? I am looking for possibilities in case I can't tolerate the CPAP.
Thanks!

The only way to know for sure it to experiment for yourself with the various set ups.

buy a recording pulse oximeter and/or have your dr order a pulse oximeter test. the dme will give you a medical grade oximeter to use overnight and return to them. they send the report to the dr and you will know exactly where your o2 stands.

Are you saying the Wellue one I have is not accurate?
I have been saving all of the data to an app so I am recording all of the data
Thanks!

i'm saying that if you need supplemental o2 the doctor will not rely on your device . he is going to order a dme test. if you have a question about o2 you may as well get an official test. just covering all bases for you and other readers. theres a fine line between needing and not needing supplemental o2. below 88% for 6 minutes over the whole night you need it above, you don't. if i misunderstood, sorry.
