Looks Like Palatal Prolapse, But Is It?
A question for you experts, please:
Attached are screenshots from last night, when I tried out a new FP Nova Micro mask. The overall night was good, I think, but there was an extended series of breaths in the early morning with flow patterns very different than my normal breath pattern.
I normally use a ResMed P10 mask, and have had consistent good results with it, but last night I decided to give the little Nova Micro a try. Perhaps these unusual flow waves are unconnected to the new mask, but they are so uncharacteristic of what I normally see that I am very interested in what you experts think,
I felt okay upon awakening this morning, so maybe this is just a "no harm, no foul" occurrence? Thoughts or suggestions, anyone?
This is typical of what PP looks like, but there can be other ways by which expiration is shunted from the mask circuit. I have a similar pattern from time to time and am generally unaware of it, although I sometimes feel the door shut on expiration during sleep transition. Your full-night chart suggests this is not your typical breathing and we can see it only happened intermittently from about 4:15 to 4:20.
