Low SPO2 during the night

RE: Low SPO2 during the night
Cardios believe the enlarged aorta is likely something I've had since birth. It was discovered incidentally, following my heart attack, and has been stable since then (17 years). Nevertheless, it bears watching. It's close to the heart and causes one heart valve to leak a little.

As for the Quercetin, I'm now on day twelve and my overnight SPO2 numbers still look good, much better than before. I will see my cardiologist tomorrow and plan to chat to him about it. He's not my usual guy, who has retired, so this will be a test to see if we 'get along'.

RE: Low SPO2 during the night
The Quercetin still appears to be working extremely well, with not a single bad night SPO2-wise for sixteen straight days.

So I mentioned this to my cardiologist on Thursday, while I was there for my annual stress echo.

Despite being a professor of cardiology and having decades of experience he claimed to have never even heard of Quercetin, let alone have an opinion on it.

Far too many health practitioners these days seem to have tunnel vision, just parroting the accepted wisdom and reluctant to step outside of the 'official' orthodoxy, even when confronted with potentially significant advances that may seriously help their patients.

Boy, did that whole Covid thing open my eyes.

RE: Low SPO2 during the night
It's now more than four weeks since I started taking Quercetin and my sleeping SPO2 is still excellent. Three days ago, I began taking two tablets per day, am and pm. This is the recommended dose though just one morning tablet seemed to work for me. I'm trying two per day to see if it reduces my frequent ectopic beats (palpitations) during the day. So far at least, that seems to be working.

I am seriously considering stopping my statin now. I have seen many credible reports saying that statins aren't helping and that high cholesterol isn't the cause of heart disease but a symptom of it. One professor said that blaming cholesterol for clogged arteries is like blaming firefighters for house fires, simply because every time there's a fire, we see firefighters there. The real problem, some say, is inflammation. Cholesterol is the body's response to inflamed arteries, seeking to cover the damage. So now I'm wondering if the Quercetin, being an anti-inflammatory, might do the trick.
