Micham Therapy Thread Setup Aircurve 10 CS PaceWave
[attachment=74194][attachment=74193]

I am a new user of AirCurve 10 CS Pace Wave and I would like to ask for help in setting the device. With the help of the forum, I set the device for last night but unfortunately I still cannot reduce H-type events. From the point of view of sleep quality - it was not the best, I was particularly bothered by those strong gusts of air from with which I had to fight and which prevented me from falling asleep again. I also have to I would like to point out that my blood saturation that night was, one could say, bad. I would be grateful for help in setting up the device.

You should start your own thread, you won’t get much for replies as this my old thread for my questions and my knowledge is a bit limited, there are others on here with much more experience. You need to go and start a new thread called AirCurve 10 CS New User Help or something like that. You will want to post your settings as well, not just images of the graphs.

How long have you been using the machine?  What are the settings?

RE: Micham Therapy Thread Setup Aircurve 10 CS PaceWave
micham, I have split your post into a new thread so you can get the help you need rather than mixing into an older thread.

You are using an Aircurve 10 CS Pacewave (ASV) with EPAP min 6.0, EPAP max unknown and PS 4.0 to 15.0.  We prefer to get a screenshot of the Dailly Details. A tutorial is in my signature links under Organizing Your Oscar Charts.  Your Report screenshot includes identifying information including your name, birthdate and email, so you should delete that attachment under Manage Attachments.

The report shows you still have some hypopnea and UA events. These are obstructive, and might respond to higher EPAP pressure, however the problem looks like positional apnea and you may benefit from reading this wiki article. https://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.ph...onal_Apnea

To help you with the "gusts of air" or pressure surges, I'm going to suggest you reduce the PS max setting to 10.0. We will see if that helps. I hope you will follow-up with a Daily Details chart so we can see the results and try some other things to make your therapy more comfortable.

This time I am sending data for two nights. The dear night was already after lowering the PS from 15 to 10. The first night was characterized by low AHI but very bad saturation and strong air streams from time to time. The dear night was calm, saturation was good. Generally speaking, the quality of sleep in the dear the night was better. I would be grateful for help in setting the device to how the best level (low AHI, good saturation and good sleep quality.

I am sending the details of night 2 in a separate post

You did better on the 14th than the 15th of January. Events are still clustered and suggest positional obstruction. You may need a soft cervical collar. https://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.ph...cal_Collar

Of course, I will try to sleep with the collar, although I only sleep on my side (right, left). On January 14, 2025, I slept on my sides exactly the same as on the 15th, except that I changed the pressure according to your recommendation. The difference in AHI is big. I will sleep with the collar and send the reports tomorrow. Thank you very much.

The objective when sleeping on your side is to simply avoid chin-tucking or a "fetal position". It may be sufficient to pull a corner of your pillow between your shoulder and jaw to prevent that. Just keep your neck and chin from collapsing and closing off the airway.

Hello
As we agreed, I slept with a collar. I checked the sleep reports the night before and there was a surprise. The number of H events decreased, but the number of UA events increased, so the AHI is at the same level. The sleep quality is so-so. I got used to the collar without any problems, of course. I prefer it without because it is in addition to the FF mask. I am sending screenshots and asking for new ones instructions. Thank you very much

Please zoom in on a cluster of events and include the flow rate and mask pressure charts. The zoom segment should be about 3-minutes in time to resolve the flow wave and pressure changes. We can identify if this is obstructive. The pattern remains positional.
