NO LONGER NEED C PAP THERAPY?

NO LONGER NEED C PAP THERAPY?
I had sleep study 6 years ago and needed c pap. I have used my c pap with 95 to 100 percent conformity the past 6 years. I have lost weight and changed my eating/exercise routine over the past 3 years. I have stopped using the c pap for a couple weeks recently and could not tell much difference the way I sleep and feel. If anything, I sleep slightly better and have less bloating (swallowing air) when not using c pap.  Has others stopped c pap after lifestyle changes? I don't want to go to the expense and inconvenience of another sleep study. I plan to discuss this with my Doctor during my next visit.

RE: NO LONGER NEED C PAP THERAPY?
There are inexpensive home sleep studies that can quantify your AHI and help you with a decision. Chances are insurance will pay for the home study. It's rare for weight loss to reduce sleep disordered breathing to the extent that therapy is no longer needed, but it does happen.
