Never ending Aerophagia, please help!

RE: Never ending Aerophagia, please help!
It’s a respironics, not sure what to do with the A flex. It’s so confusing because on his back he snores, even with the machine, and on his side he sounds like he’s breathing fine but that’s where he swallows the air.

Not sure if he should mess with the A flex?

Sounds like we should try a cervical collar.. thanks for the tips!

Set A-Flex to its maximum value of 3. That will lower the pressure when he exhales, which is a remedy for aerophagia. If that doesn't work he will need a BiPAP, which will lower it even more.

Everyone's anatomy is different. It could be that in the supine position both the airway and the esophagus are pinched off, but on his side they are both open.
