New Airsense 11 and Medicare question

I am picking up a new Airsense 11 Autoset today.
My Medicare + My plan g suppliment are paying for the machine, but since it's a 13 month rental I am being charged today for the portion that is in 2026.
Is that normal? I would think that Medicare would be billed in 2026 for that portion of the rental.

That sounds odd to me too; it was not the case when I first got my machine last year.  Who is your DME?  I would complain loudly, it is definitely not normal

Medicare pays 80%, you pay 20%. This applies to regular Medicare or Medicare advantage, and others.

His plan G supplemental should cover his 20%, once the medicare deductible is met.

Is it possible you are being charged for your deductible?  Being charged ahead of time for 2026 rental is not normal AFAIK

It’s definitely not my deductible, I’ve already met that and the amount is not the same.

I did get a reply from another board, wondering if it may have to do with the separate billing for the humidifier, mask, and tube. I previously had an Airsense 11 that became defective, And I already received some of these supplies.
I’m going to ask for a better explanation when I go in to pick up the machine this afternoon.

Could it be your deductible for 2026? Still odd.

It was the 2026 deductible plus the $36 modem activation fee. I’ll get most of it back next year.
