New Apple watch software update, Fine Print. "Sleep Apnea Notification"
Reading the fine print associated with the current SW update I am installing for my Minions today I fine there is a "Sleep Apnea Notification".

I have a couple of minions not on any OSA therapy, that I may now get their attention, and convince them to bring it up in their upcoming PCP appointment.

This is new to me so I will repot back what I find from my Minion observation.

Somewhere, requiring minds need this information.

RE: New Apple watch software update, Fine Print. "Sleep Apnea Notification"
I'm noticing a post yesterday by snorkslapper whose Apple watch flagged possible sleep apnea, leading to getting tested and starting CPAP.  This seems like a success story.

I, too, bought an Apple watch last fall but have not tested how it monitors sleep because I already know I have sleep apnea and am using OSCAR to monitor data from my ResMed AirSense11.  Rather, I always take the watch off and charge it overnight.

Today I logged into the ResMed MyAir app for the first time in a month or so and found that it has a new row in the Sleep Summary for Sleep stages.  Below the message is the option to sync with Apple Health.  "Share your Apple Health data with myAir to view sleep stage information and health trends alongside your therapy usage."

Has anyone tried this?

It would be interesting to see how close the sleep stages match between what the Apple watch records and the ResMed MyAir app reports. I never found much use for MyAir after getting OSCAR reports.

As for the Apple watch Apnea reporting, you must have an Apple 9 or better watch to utilize that function. So far my minions have only progressed to the Apple watch 7, so it will be awhile before I can test the functionality of that feature.

I am glad to hear the report of snorkslapper, getting notification from his watch.
