New to CPAP - and I bought a NIB machine in the secondary market

First of all, that is not a CA pattern, it is a single event. You took a large inhale and exhale, perhaps moved, and resumed breathing normally. The pause was flagged as a CA but this is completely normal.

@Dormeo, I appreciate the suggestion! I did try it last night, but woke with tummy pain and bloating, so backed off the lower pressure to 6.6. I have GERD and the stomach valve is shot, so I tend to get this. I woke up often as I usually do, but when I did sleep, I slept very well, and I feel good this morning, tummy rumbles aside.

And I had "snake eyes" last night Big Grin

@nightrider I appreciate the feedback. I see what you mean about the pattern not being a pattern. I meant one to six events a night over 6 weeks. But looking at other charts, I guess a pattern would be a consistent pattern within one night of sleep. Thank you for your time.

Well, well, will you look at that! With those great results, I'm thinking you could try a fixed pressure at a level low enough to keep the aerophagia at bay. There's zero reason not to experiment, if that appeals to you.

I am thrilled with last night's results to be sure. I will assume I needed a wee bit more to start than I had been using. It seemed more comfortable, except for the air on the first part of the night. I will continue to experiment and try to tighten the range up as much as possible.

Thank you (and everyone) for the help and your time.
