New user, flow limits through the roof
I'm 41 and started on APAP a month ago. I started on a Luna G3 but once I realized they don't let you explore your own data I called the DME and told them I wanted to swap for a Resmed Airsense 11 and they obliged. Originally with the Luna they prescribed 6-16cm with Reslex (EPR) off and a ramp starting at 4. I quickly realized I was drowning at 4 and turned off the ramp and used my average pressure data which was ~10 to set the starting pressure to 9. My P95 on that machine was also around 12 so I set max to 13. My AHI was very sporadic though it improved for a few nights off and on. I also have a V-Com device inline but I don't know how much that's helping.
Now that I'm on the Airsense 11, they have EPR turned on to 3. I don't know if it was on purpose or not. Again they set pressure 6-16 so I immediately set it to minimum of 9 which is good for me. I've been on it a few nights and the first I noticed I was hitting the 16 max A LOT so I bumped to 17. AHI went down to 1.4 but on further inspection I noticed my flow limit is really off the chart averaging .5. Since I already have EPR at 3 and that is what everyone says helps flow limits, should I just continue bumping pressures until I hit 20, and if I hit 20 and its still this way then what? I do feel better than before PAP but I still don't feel like I'm 100%. I have a O2Ring coming today so I'll be adding that into the mix tonight as well.
I'm still a noob to this but am learning fast. The sleep "coach" has not even called or checked in or anything. I can't imagine how miserable I'd be if I left the settings at what they started me on.
EDIT: I just talked to the coach and she said EPR should be turned off if you have a V-Com device.
