Newbie looking for help with settings

Newbie looking for help with settings
Requesting feedback on settings. I'm not sure what I'm doing, and overwhelmed with all this info from OSCAR. I've been dealing with daytime fatigue for decades and previous sleep studies never got enough data (insurance would only cover at home tests). Tried again, and was finally told I have moderate OSA. AHI was 15.3. After several weeks I  found a mask I like - Phillips Respironics Wisp. I moved my starting pressure up from 4 to 7 because I felt like I wasn't getting enough air while trying to fall asleep. Proir to CPAP and finding the right mask, I was waking up 2-3 times a night with nocturia. Now I'm able to sleep most of the night without getting up. But my energy levels haven't improved, and I'm wondering what changes may help.

RE: Newbie looking for help with settings
Welcome to the forum,

Are you on any medications that affect your breathing or sleep?
Do you have any health issues that  affect your breathing or sleep?
Can you post a copy of your sleep report with your personal info redacted.

Please just upload these 5 charts and statistics and device settings.
Event Flags
Pressure
Flow rate
Leak Rate
Flow limits

Your Flow Limitations
are ok but are causing your pressure to increase throughout the night.  Set EPR to 3, you might see an increase of CAs though, keep an eye on that. Flow limitations can result from anatomical narrowing of the airway and cause micro-arousal, making you tired the next day.
Raise your minimum pressure to 8 or 9 cm

Thank you for your reply. I'm taking Trazodone 50 mg every night for sleep. No health issues. Copy of sleep report is attached with the other info requested.

I will make the changes you suggested. Thank you again!

You need to post your Oscar chart differently. We need to see the side panel as well as the chart. The easiest way to correct this is to press the F12 button at the top of your keyboard (FN+F12 for Mac) to copy your chart. This usually solves it.
Machine:  ResMed AirCurve 10 Vauto

Just so I'm sure I understand, do you mean the way I initially posted it, but with things reordered this way, as jdougc requested?

Event Flags
Pressure
Flow rate
Leak Rate
Flow limits

I attached Statistics and Device Settings separately, since that seemed to be what was being requested at first.

You charts are just about perfect, just maybe widen the left hand side a tad so stats are easier to read.

Certainly trazone has some significant side effects, especially can cause low levels of sodium in the body.

You may want to get a test for this. It's  a twofold procedure, urine test then a blood test.

Good idea to research all the side effects of trazone carefully.

You are doing very well, glad you sleep through the night.

I would raise the minimum to 9 cm and raise EPR to 2 to minimize the grouping of Flow limitations that are causing your pressure increases and the pressure swings.
Flow limitations are restrictions, not total obstructions of you airway. These flow limitations can cause daytime sleepiness even in people who have moderate sleep apnea.
https://www.atsjournals.org/doi/10.1513/...2308-710OC

Raise the ramp to 8 cm and set it to 5 or 10 minutes, not auto.
You get no therapy pressure increases during the ramp period, this makes it easier to fall asleep for many.

I would lower your maximum to  11.4 cm, since your obstructive events are well controlled.
This tighter pressure range may make for a more restful/peaceful night of sleep.
If you feel uncomfortable, then raise your maximum to 13 or 14 cm.

Unfortunately it can be difficult to display the full device settings list. You may have to go file, preferences and the appearance  tab and change fonts sizes. Your ramp details didn't show up on the last post.

jdougc is quite right.

I think it can be a bit tricky, getting all the left hand settings in.

Have a look at the attached chart, it is self explanatory and should work.

(Sorry about previous typos, Trazodone  and not Trazone)
