clear air apnea
Would anyone know why Oscar says I am having a lot of clear air apneas when I just lie in bed before I fall asleep and I know I am breathing normally? When I fall asleep my numbers go way down. If I wake up and try to go asleep again the numbers go up again. Still breathing normally.

RE: clear air apnea
The normal way of addressing the CAs (to a point) on an A10 Vauto is to increase the "Trigger" setting from the default of Medium to High. If you are still experiencing CAs, you can then try Very High. This increases the sensitivity of the end of the EPAP cycle and will start the IPAP pressure.

Thanks. I will try raising the trigger settings. I will try it tonight.

RE: clear air apnea
Thanks again. I went to the very high trigger setting. Last night I had less than 5 clear air apneas per hour and almost no obstructive apneas. Why couldn't my doctor tell me this? He just lowered my pressure some, which did not help. I'll try it again tonight, but I think you solved my problem.

RE: clear air apnea
Your body should normalize to the reduced CO2 and the remaining CAs will start to disappear. Your doctor probably never had to use a CPAP and doesn't know the fine art of tweaking one.
