[OSCAR] new user, no import from SD card

[OSCAR] new user, no import from SD card

Bonjour !

I'm discovering OSCAR for the first time, and I like what I read.

PC = Asus NX750V, running Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS
Machine = Loewenstein Prisma Smart

I installed OSCAR from the latest .deb, went OK.

I inserted the SD card, loaded OK by the OS as /media/francois/377B-FFFD.

I read the Wiki page titled « Running OSCAR for the first time ».

I created a profile with what I believed to be the minimal information. (does OSCAR need to know my doctor's name to start OK ?)

When I hit one of the import buttons, I get a small window, not at all like the one showed on the Wiki page :

The status bas runs from 0 to 100ù with no activity light flashing on the card reader. When it reaches 100%, i'm requested to « find my data card » : I select the above path to the SD card and hit [Open].

Nothing happens : no flashes on the card reader, and the daily view and other icons remain greyed.

Anything I'm doing wrong ? Please, Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope...

Have a nice one !

François

I don't think the Prisma Smart is supported by OSCAR.

However, there is software in the Private Files and Links Forum that may work with your machine.

Hey, Gideon !

Would your name be « Bonjour » ? Well, if so, you do know the meaning of it in french.

As I'm from Toulouse, France, I very often begin my messages with « Bonjour », just to make it clear to the people who read my posts that, although my level of english is a littel bit above the average (for a frenchman), english is definitely not my mother tongue. It's a way to kindly and shortly ask for understanding if I miss some of the subtleties of english.

Je te souhaite une très bonne journée,

François.
