Old machine hose question

Last night me neighborhood had a power outage starting at 4:30 PM and finally came back on at 5:38 AM. 
Well I thought I was prepared as I had a battery and an old  Remstar Auto but I found the non heated hose
I use with my Resmed S10 Vauto  just won't fit.  Did those old machines use a different hose or have some adapter ?

I'd be surprised if hoses from two different brands would fit to ensure you can sell more of your own branded stuff to people.

I finally found out what my problem was . This machine was made to be run with the humidifier connected. When the humidifier was attatched a standard hose wiuld hook up to the humidifier but without the humidifier some adapter was needed.
