I'm not able to interpret your charts and your flow rate because of your large leaks. What mask are you using? Do you know what is causing the near-constant major leakage?

I'm glad to hear you're feeling better! I hope the improvement continues.

Yes, the leaks come from the mask. I checked everything. If I disconnect the mask and seal the tube with my hand I get the green smily. When I connect the mask and put it on, I fail the test instantly.
I got the Airfit F30i and I tried everything to stop the leaks. Even when I press the mask with my hands against my face, I cant stop the leaks. The straps are firm, but the leakage remains and cannot be felt or heard at the edges of the mask. I will try to get something else..

I fixed the leaks and got some new data! :-)
I already can feel the benefits of the therapy as I have way more energy. But I am also struggling a little bit with anxiety of suffocating, sometimes I take the mask of when I feel like the anxiety is getting out of hand. Right now, I can't take more than EPAP 6,4 as a value of 7 seems like too much "stress" right now. It feels like I have to get used to breathing against the pressure. Besides the anxiety, I am also getting a little bit of aerophagia with more pressure on IPAP. The flow rate data is quite interesting. I got some stable patterns but also alot of chaos. Is the goal to get closer to a sinusoidal wave? Example 1: Stable patter with some flat areas [[I deleted this example as I can only attach 3 files]] Example 2: This pattern shows resistence? It seems like I struggle to exhale more than to inhale first. And then breathing in also gets more restrained. Example 3: Stable pattern becomes chaotic and ends completely. I am happy to receive opinions on my data.

It's great you're feeling better.
I don't know much at all about the ST machine. I can tell you that the one snippet shows arousal breathing and the other shallow breathing. It'd be nice to see fewer hypopneas, but I'm not sure what ST settings might help. In a regular CPAP machine or bilevel machine, it'd be a good idea to try increasing pressure support (the difference between IPAP and EPAP). In case you're interested, you can find the clinician's manual for your machine using a Google search. I'm going to flag your thread to someone with expertise who might be able to help you. |
