RE: Person - Therapy Help Thread
I think there's calculations for tidal volume if that's what you're after. I don't recall the specifics.
If you're after backup breath rate, the ST-A can do an auto configure for that, giving a target patient rate. The 10 series ST-A I used for a test had a single EPAP pressure, with PS as a range of Min and Max. Then there's the timing controls, all listed in the table attached.
Mask Primer
Positional Apnea
Attach OSCAR, etc.

question about therapy
Cpap has been a nightmair and I still can't get a refreshing sleep even after 4 sleep studies and help on the apnea board. My question is can cpap fail even if the sleep study says your ok and bilevel be successful. I have only been titrated with cpap and I still can't get a good night sleep with it. My sleep medicine doctor finally admited ok I might need to try bilevel. My question is can bilevel succeed when cpap fails. I am at my wits end and will honestly die if I have to live like this for another mounth. I am in denver colorado and also wondering if their are any nonprofits that can help with housing because I am struggling to work and probably going to get kicked out of my dads house. I will die if I am homeless and can't access a my bilevel machine.
RE: Person - Therapy Help Thread
Once again, this question is related to your therapy, and cannot be answered without the history in your therapy thread. New thread merged. The last useful graph you posted was February 22 when you were using ASV at EPAP min 8.0, unknown EPAP max and ps 3.0 to 15.0 resulting in zero AHI. It sure would be helpful to see an update on your therapy settings and results with Oscar. You are clearly struggling with issues outside of CPAP or ASV, and we can only help with the therapy. Please try to focus on issues we can assist with and discuss any feelings of hopelessness or depression with a professional.
