ASV Auto mode
EPAP Min 5 or 6, EPAP Max 12
PS Min 3, PS Max 15
IPAP will calculate itself by adding EPAP to PS.
Follow the Titration guide I added in post 5.

Positional Apnea
Attach OSCAR, etc.

RE: Please Help I am defeated
It will be very helpful to see a chart after you've used the settings that Dave has recommended.
RE: Please Help I am defeated
Okay thanks guys I’ll give it a try!
RE: Please Help I am defeated
Good luck, I will be following your experience! I hope to have my ASV soon.
RE: Please Help I am defeated
Thanks SarcasticDave for helping. I had missed this thread and your recommendations are right-on. Amazing how incompetent the supplier has been in this case. I'm also looking forward to seeing first night results.
RE: Please Help I am defeated
Last night was a let down. I could only tolerate the asv for 40 minutes. Even during that time my AHI was 5.4. Worse than normal. I upped the minimum to 8 and that made it more comfortable but the surges of air freaked me out. I felt like my chest was collapsing in. Should I just start wearing while awake? For some reason CPAP feels more comfortable…

RE: Please Help I am defeated
OSCAR chart please?
On the ASV, follow this timeline: get in bed according to your routine, wait a minute or so before masking to allow your breathing to slow and stabilize, then mask and ASV on. This presents the ASV a slower breathing pattern. Why important? The ASV paces your breath rate over a rolling window of time around 90 seconds to 3 minutes, fast rates upon mask on means when your rates naturally slow, the ASV will attempt to pace off the fast rates earlier.
What you experienced, would you describe as air starvation? If yes, the increase to EPAP min should help. And yes you may need to have some daytime use on the ASV to get used to its own feel.
