Please review my OSCAR results

Please review my OSCAR results
Been using my AirSense 10 for the past week or two but only got an SD card yesterday. Felt like I was suffocating in the middle of the night so last night I upped min pressure to 7.4 and EPR to 3. Ended up with a much higher AHI (6.01) than in the previous week (1-3). Please let me know what settings I could adjust to improve things. Thanks!

RE: Please review my OSCAR results
Raising pressure and EPR are two things that will increase CA events if you're susceptible to that.

Did you experience CA's on your sleep study? If not, these may just be treatment emergent and will lessen in time.

So for now, set your minimum pressure at 8 and bring the max down to 12. Set EPR to 1. We're looking to lower CA's and at the same time control the Obstructives.

Try this for a couple days and see if there is a difference.

RE: Please review my OSCAR results
Thanks for the reply! I tried that for a few days and it's working ok, here are last night's results:

My sleep study had obstructive apnea index 0.8, central apnea index 0.6, hypopnea index 9.2.
Are there any other obvious changes I could make for now? I ordered an AirTouch N20 to hopefully fix some of the leaking.
Thx!

You seem to be heading in the right direction, but I am wondering if you mouth breathe or your mask may be shifting as you move.  The leak rate isn't high, but even low level leaking will disrupt sleep.

I would keep at the same pressure setting got now and work on a better mask fit.

RE: Please review my OSCAR results
Woke up feeling pretty unwell today:

Was definitely woken up a few times by air rushing out of my mouth.
I was considering getting a chin strap but I don't think I can handle yet another thing on my face.
Maybe I'll try a full face mask but I think the seal is going to be tough with facial hair.

Anything obvious I can change pressure-wise in the meantime?
Thx!

RE: Please review my OSCAR results
I think you need a bit more pressure, but won't be that helpful if your mouth opens and allows air to escape, which in turn will disrupt your sleep.

Your CA's and Obstructives came down, but you are apparently having issues with your mouth/jaw dropping open.

You may need to move to a full face mask or use mouth tape if you want to continue with the nasal mask.

RE: Please review my OSCAR results
Pretty average day over the past two weeks:

Worth changing any pressures?

Seems like my jaw dropping has mostly stopped, and any leaks are just from the mask sliding off my face / being too loose.

Thx!
