Pokey49 - Therapy Thread
RE: Pokey49 - Therapy Thread
Ok here is last nights Oscar report. I took 2 different shots of it, if I did this correctly both are attached. Im still trying to figure Oscar out. I set my minimum pressure to 9 and EPR to 1 as suggested. Doesn't look like it improved things?? In fact to my yet untrained eye it looks like it made the flow rate worse and CAs worse? WHats going on with the flow rate with the big peaks and valleys? I can say I got about 7 hours sleep last night and kept the mask on until 3am, but by then it felt like a soft, hot octopus trying to smother me and I feel like warmed over dog poop today

Your CAs are still high, and we can't see the flow limit graph. You might not need the slightly higher pressures. Can you try 8 or 8.5 cm of constant pressure cpap mode? Or if you stay on APAP mode, make your maximum 8.5 cm for a night or two?  Leave EPR where it is for now. Monitor the Flow Limitations still.

You can make the chart heights smaller and show more of charts by grabbing the right bottom of a chart and raising it a bit. See my attachment as to where to grab the chart bottom.

Not really, it would be great to see the Flow Limits chart by the pressure chart and the others on the 1st page. Flow limits make the pressure go up.

I cant set the pressure to 8.5 in either APAP or CPAP....its either 8.2, .6 or .8.....8.6 is the closest to 8.5.....how is that much different than how it was set at 9 last night?

You missed that I wanted you to try a much lower Maximum pressure to see if no wild wide pressure swings were contributing to any issues, awakening/arousals or possible the CAs.

OK, yes I missed that point. So I am clear what are you suggesting I set my min & max pressure to? Last night it was 9-20 with EPR 1 What are your recommendations for min/max and EPR?

See attached my next attempt to edit the screen per your request. I finally figured out how to squeeze the graphs

thanks much

Pokey

Lose the snore chart and put the flow limit chart nearer the pressure chart and you will better see the relationship between flow mimits and pressure increases.
Set the minimum to 8 cm and the maximum pressure to 9 cm for a night or two, don't change EPR but watch your flow limits

Think I got it this time after much trail and error.  As of now hard for me to make much out of the flow limits v pressure increases graphs. Ill see if I can find some discussion somewhere here
