Here's my first OSCAR report. Im new to all this stuff and last night was my second night to be able to fall asleep with my mask on which I take as a big success for me as I am a very fussy sleeper. So Both nights I have awakened in the wee hours feeling leaks in my mask and last night I felt like I was not getting enough air/O2 and took the mask off. Both nights when I woke up with the mask on I generally felt ok. But then after taking if off and going back to sleep I later wake up with what I describe as whole body pain and discomfort. I am wondering if there is a connection between my breathing and my pain when Im not wearing my cpap mask?
My take on the OSCAR report below is that there is no big glaring issues. My sleep study showed an AHI of 16. My AHI last night was 3.08 which I take as a pretty good change?? But Id appreciate any more experienced opinions here
My AS11 is set at pressure of 7-20, EPR 3, Autoset std, Ramp is off. I am using a Resmed F30i mask. I guess I'm wondering why I getting obvious leaks later into the night and why am I feeling air starved when I wake up. And I am concerned as to why when I am not using the CPAP that I am awakening in pain. Its my understanding that there is a correlation between pain and sleep apnea and vise versa, they each feed each other??

Im sorry but I cannot figure out how to get an OSCAR report from my computer to here as an attachment. I understand how to attach it here once I have it as a file on my computer, but I cant figure out how to get the daily report downloaded as a file ON TO MY COMPUTER. Ive spent the last 40 minutes trying to figure that out and have hit a dead end. Sorry. Words from those experienced using it would be appreciated. thanks
Open OSCAR to look at the detailed chart you want to attach to the post. If you have a Windows computer, press F12 to save a screenshot. If it's a Mac, press fn + F12 to screenshot. You'll then begin a post like you have already. Type your comments in the textbox. Below that is the New Attachment area.
You have to Choose File which will be the OSCAR screenshot you took.
After choosing file, Add Attachment.
You'll see a new row of info below the Choose File, which is regarding the file you're about to attach. You need to choose Insert into Post. It will add the file line of code where your cursor is positioned within the textbox.
Once that is done, you finalize the post by clicking Post Reply.
You can see how to do this in my signature, by reviewing the wiki link called attaching OSCAR charts.

On the leaks, it appears to be mask leaks as they're showing the spikey pattern. It could be the mask is moving or you are bumping the mask, as this chart has the leaks near the beginning and end of sleep sessions. It might be the straps needs adjusted, but don't go uncomfortably tight. Also it might be the cushion size is an issue.
As for the air starved condition, I would first increase the min pressure to 8 and see if that addresses it. With 7 and EPR 3, you're running a minimum of 4, and increasing to 8 with EPR 3 gets you up to 5. 4 minimum is as low as it goes, and it's typically too low for an adult.

I fiddled with the mask at the beginning so that was likely me causing those recorded leaks. At the other end of the night I awoke and could feel it leaking and couldn’t seem to stop the leaks with repositioning and took it off for the night. Thanks for the advise on bumping up the pressure. I told the RT the other day I made some pressure changes myself and she wasn’t happy I did that, but I didn’t care ? she’s not the one having to live with what’s happening at the time.
Can you point me to where I can find an explanation of what all the parameters are on the Oscar report. I’ve not been able to find that. I understand what some are but not all. I’d like to know what I’m looking at and not bug folks here all the time. Thanks again

I’m new to cpap and obviously still getting use to it. I’m wanting to correct issues as soon as I can so I adapt to the therapy and reap its benefits as soon as possible realizing even if machine settings, mask, pillow are perfect it’s still going to take time for feel like a normal part of life.
The problem I’m having now is waking up later in the night feeling that my mask is leaking. At first I was using a nasal mask with a chin strap since I mouth breathe but I didn’t like the confined feeling of the chin strap and not being able to take a breath through my mouth when I wanted to. It just felt to unnatural. So I asked my RT to switch me to a full face mask hybrid. She fit me with a wide. I’m a 100% side sleeper. When I go to sleep I don’t have any issues but then wake up in the wee hours and feel the mask leaking. I reposition my head on the pillow and nudge the mask a bit to stop the leak. But it continues to have a leak in one place or another. My theory, since it doesn’t leak earlier in the night is the mask becomes super soft from the warmth of my breath and the warmed airline making it lose its firmer shape that it has at the beginning of the night.
I’d be interested in hearing other thoughts on the problem and any recommendations. I’d like to solve this as I’m already feeling benefits of PAP It would be great if I could make it through the night without the leaks.
Thanks.
