Going from 25 to 6 to 25 are big jumps. How do I smooth things out.
Also looks like the lowest ipap pressure is 22??? On Apap I was set at 7-20 but my ipap never went much over 12

Your VAuto doesn't go to 25 IPAP Max just because it's set to it. You said the AutoSet doesn't go much past 12, so I don't see this as an issue.
The setting EPAP Min 6 and IPAP Max 25 are bookends to tell the VAuto what the boundaries are. Yes, EPAP Min 6 will be used as the starting point, but IPAP Max 25 might never be touched.

Wish I could help you Pokey. But having zero experience with an Air Curve, I can't.

Sarcastic Dave. It is clearly going up to 25 when I inhale. the screen is showing 6 on exhale 25 every time i inhale.

Also what mode should it be on? It’s setting on S mode whatever that is. Other choices are VAuto and cpap

RE: Pokey49 - Therapy Thread
OK that's the problem. S mode is static 6 to 25 per your settings on the script. You need VAuto mode then it will move between 6 to 25 with PS as the set differential between exhale and inhale.
Give the VAuto mode a trial.

Glad you got a Vauto machine! I hope to get one. Hope you found the setting that keeps it from shooting to 25 cm on inhale.

I’ll give it a try on VAuto when I get home. How do I change PS if I want to try that??
So does this machine sense my breathing and adjust as needed. I still don’t understand the difference yet between Bipap and Apap. They both have ipap & epap pressures with an EPR, don’t they? I have no idea what trigger does. It’s set on medium. And finally should I check pillow or full mask if I’m using a pillow mask. I had it set on full on the apap.

RE: Pokey49 - Therapy Thread
All settings change within the clinical menu same as AutoSet does.
The VAuto senses breathing same as AutoSet, it's just that the VAuto is a true bilevel. Technically the AutoSet doesn't have EPAP and IPAP, just min and max. Of these 2 machines, only the AutoSet has EPR. The VAuto replaces EPR with PS, which should have a range 0-10 cmH20 static/single setting. EPR is only 0-3. Trigger is a sensitivity setting for making it switch to inhale. Medium will be fine for most users. If a pillows mask I would try the pillow setting.

RE: Pokey49 - Therapy Thread
From reading about the Vauto here and how its PS setting is somewhat similar to EPR, there are differences I think in the Vauto will help me with my high Flow Limitations. 1. More pressure relief on exhale, and 2. the Trigger setting that will more quickly and efficiently return to inhale pressure.
Very glad you have the Vauto now and will be looking to see how it performs for you. ejb
