Possible solution to rolling onto ones back
I have seen a few posts where folks are having a hard time staying off their backs. I'm fortunate that I don't suffer with that.
But what I have found is that my shoulders are suffering from side sleeping with a flat pillow.
At one time in my life I had a lot of issues with Reflux. So I bought a pillow designed to help with that. It is called a MedCline pillow. As I have cleared up my reflux by stopping consuming diet cola drinks with their high acid content. The pillow has spent years stored in a vacuum bag in the closet.
However, I remembered that a secondary function of the MedCline pillow is for the relief of shoulder pain. DING, DING. The lights came on and the pillow came out of the closet. Sure enough. It def helps with removing the pressure from my shoulder.
But I also had another Eureka moment. When you click the link I will provide. You can see that the way this pillow removes the pressure and allows your arm to relax, also captures your arm under a cutout. this in effect makes it very hard to "accidentally" roll onto your back as you need to sit up and pull your arm out of the pillow. It's not likely you can do this in your sleep.
The latest version comes with a tube shaped body pillow. Meh, Just toss that and use your cpap pillow.
Caveat #1. With the incline of this pillow. It can bring forth any lower back issues with the change in the sloped pillow to a flat bed. We have an adjustable bed so I can raise the lumbar section to flatten the angle. Or one needs to deploy some sort of lumbar support.
Caveat #2. It's expensive. But if it can help with Reflux, your sore shoulder and keep you off your back and help with xpap therapy. It might be money well spent.
