[Pressure] Need help adjusting CPAP machines

Need help adjusting CPAP machines
Hi! I was recommended to use this forum on Reddit, and finally decided to go for it. This household has two CPAP user: Me, 35F, diagnosed with Sleep Apnea, 16-17 events per hours at the time of diagnosis. And my SO, 31m, Suspected Sleep Apnea(Familly history and many symptoms), unfortunately STILL waiting for his appointment with a sleep specialist after what I think is almost two years(the system to see them sucks here/I suspect his familly doctor actually forgot to make him the referal he asked for). In the meantime, he is using a second hand machine I'd purchased off of marketplace to help with his energy level. This post is mostly for my SO, but I figured I would post my chart as well just in case.

ME: A sleep study originally set my pressure at 9.0. Following a recent weight gain, I've raised my pressure to 9.2 and then 9.4. I seem to be doing okay, I had 0.3 event per hours tonight and feel great. I know people say anything under 5 is okay, but historically I feel like absolute crap with anything over 1.0. So currently, not too worried about my Apnea, but looking forward to using OSCAR to keep a closer eye on my condition/necessary change in my pressure level, especially since the last few months were ROUGH. I use a Nasal Mask.

SO: He has a familly history of Sleep Apnea(his father is diagnosed and treated for it) and many symptoms. Since the request for an appointment is dragging on, we decided to start treatment anyway. We're in the dark, so we started with the lowest pressure possible, slowly going up, and it does seem to be helping him a lot, but we're at the point where we need to pinpoint the pressure he needs. We suspect he's currently too high, though it would be nice to hear from people who know these kind of things. He has a nostril mask that he dislikes(it came with the machine when we purchased it), but unfortnately we can't currently afford new masks at this point(I personally would like to switch to a mask that covers the mouth and give him the one I'm currently using, but god they're expensive).

I hope that this is enough info :3 Thank you for the help!
