REM specific Sleep Apnea
Hello fellow members,
I had progressively worse sleep apnea problems though I had started using a CPAP machine years ago. About 4 months ago I got septoplasty for deviated nasal septum.
There was improvement. My AHI came down to 16 from 36.
But....
As soon as I get to REM sleep it goes back up all the way to 36. I believe this is called REM specific apnea. Like clockwork I wake up about 4 hours into sleep, sometimes with a dry mouth.
Anybody else has experience with this and can help with some answers. Of course I have looked up the standard youtube videos.
I use Medsense Basic but thinking of buying an Airsense 10 or 11.
Please anybody with a success story will be of great help. I am miserable and have lost 2 jobs already due to inability to work properly due to chronic fatigue and brain fog.
