ResMed AirSense 10 - Is Cool-down Mode Necessary

ResMed AirSense 10 - Is Cool-down Mode Necessary
Question about cool-down mode. Is it necessary or can I turn it off?

Wondering if my machine will last longer if I just turn it off so that when the machine goes off it doesn't run.

Have been using CPAP almost 1 year now (with mostly great results) but I don't use a heated tube, humidity is set to 2/5, only use a tiny amount of water in the water holder each night. In mornings I always take the water tub out, empty it, let it air dry and take the tub and mask off and hang them up separately as well so they all they get air and dry. Nothing is ever wet for me when I get up other than the water tub itself. Doesn't seem like I should need to run cool-down mode and can turn it off but turning to the wisdom of the board here before I do?

Makes no difference for machine longevity. The cool-down is intended to help remove residual moisture from the tube and mask, but you can just de-power the machine. I do it all the time when traveling.
