In looking at the ResMed Mirage Liberty it looks like a mix between a pillow mask and FF mask. Thought it might be worth a try for me but would like to hear any experience folks here have had with it. I’m about out of options. Thanks

ResMed Mirage Liberty Mask
I’m curious if anyone here has had any experience with the ResMed Mirage Liberty hybrid full face mask. I might be interested in trying it as I’m new to cpap and having a really hard time finding a mask I can tolerate I’ve tried two hybrid full face masks f30i and F40 and I’ve lots of leak trouble with them and they are are very claustrophobic. Then tried a nasal mask n30i which leaks like a sieve and irritates my nose. I’m trying a P10 now which I like for not being claustrophobic and I don’t have much trouble with leaks but I’m a mouth breather so I have to tape my mouth which I’m no fan of.

RE: ResMed Mirage Liberty Mask
it should be no problem for the average person. i have a deviated septum it didn't work for me. the mouth part was ok but the nose was the problem. with a deviated septum the air goes in both sides evenly and the one side flows ok but the weak deviated side can't handle the air flow. i get the feeling you may have a deviated septum and this won't work. your best bet might be to get a full face mask and get it to work. the only full face that works for me is the resmed quattro fx.

RE: ResMed Mirage Liberty Mask
I have a mildly deviated septum. I’m using the P10 now and I seem to be able to breath ok except when I’m plugged up from allergies. But it requires a chin strap and mouth tape which I hate. I’ve tried 2 of the full face masks and ended up hating them as well. F30i and F40. They go soft and squishy with my warm breath after a while, then leak like a sieve and feel like an alien on my face trying to suck the life out of me. I’m a fussy sleeper on a good day so I don’t think a perfect mask exists. Thanks for your feedback. Really appreciate it.

ResMed Mirage Liberty mask
Have any folks here used this mask. If so I’d like to hear your thoughts about it. I’m only 2.5months into CPAP and I’m still looking for the perfect ( if there is such a thing) mask for me. Full face fighter pilot face masks are not an option. I’ve tried a couple full face hyvdrids. The F30i and F40. They repeatedly leaked around my nose blowing air in my face or had to be so tight they were smothering. Then tried a nasal N30i which was a leaker and more air in my face plus was uncomfortable a leaker under my nose. I’ve tried the P10 and Respironics nuance gel pillow mask. Both these have given me the best results with minimal leaks but require mouth tape as I’m a mouth breather. So I was looking at the ResMed Mirage Liberty thinking it might be a good compromise between a pillow mask and a full face hybrid. If you’ve used it I’d like your thoughts.
Thanks Pokey

RE: ResMed Mirage Liberty mask
P30i or P10 works best for me. N30i was a leaker. I’m not a mouth breather.

RE: ResMed Mirage Liberty mask
I was wondering about it as I am a 100% side sleeper. Likely why I had so much trouble with the F30 & F40. Pillow kerps knocking them out of whack with my face. Even a cpap pillow which I think are kind of a joke.

RE: ResMed Mirage Liberty mask
The F40 and N20 are both very comfortable, but when I fell asleep, the leaks were bad.
I am strictly a side sleeper also.

RE: ResMed Mirage Liberty mask
My experience with the ML was a brief disaster. When I complained about the Resmed F-10 FFM I was first provided, I told the DME rep I was going to try the ML.
He flatly said "YOU will not like it. . . . and I did not."I only kept and used its separable, short air tube (with alike ends) that came with it. I replaced the Magyvered black hose shown in one of the the linked photos. Note: I tried lots of chin straps, quit that years ago. I too am a (hopeless) mouth breather when asleep. That requires rigorous measures to control leaks when using pillows masks. My lip taping is overlaid by a 2 in. X 5 in. (Silipos) Gel-E-roll seal and it is overlaid by an elastic band which compresses the seal elements to my (present) mustache and beard. See linked pic (and note that I have learned how to spell "elbow"). In addition I use a 4 inch-C-collar. Yet more, I intermittently use a block to prevent my OA inducing supine sleep. I have briefly tried and grumbled about these masks: Simplus FFM, Amara View nasal, Wisp and, most lately, an Evora FFM—the latter as used for my most recent sleep test. I need a FFM when (rarely) "stopped up". I credit the P10 for having less trouble with nasal congestion. The sleep tech (March 2024) markedly tightened the Evora mask and it did not leak for her. I haven't been so fortunate. Best mask experience has been the P-10, Brevida and Bleep. I gave up on Bleep because mounting it is touchy and I lack finger sensitivity and dexterity, spoil too many adhesive nose pieces. I've used the p10 for years, only recently went back to the Brevida. My ML experience was nearly 10 years ago. Thinking about it vs my long use of P10's and the Brevida' now—and I may "misremember" this as a nephew said— I think that the ML's (silicone?) nare seals were more firm, were less compliant with my particular nares' topography than those silicone elements of the P10's and Brevida's are. Links: more to bore you silly, but pics and much of threads are likely relevant for you. SleepRider's conclusion at the third link, was same as mine—made me determined to find a way to control mouth breathing. The P10, particularly, has the least perimeter to seal and that, together with its silicone compliance, strikes me as explaining its devotees and wide use. https://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread...#pid197767 https://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread...#pid418564 See link on page. https://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread...#pid413399
I have no particular qualifications or expertise with respect to the apnea/cpap/sleep related content of my posts beyond my own user experiences and what I've learned from others on this site. Each of us bears the burden of evaluating the validity and applicability of what we read here before acting on it.
Of my 3 once-needed, helpful, and adjunctive devices I have listed, only the accelerometer remains operative (but now idle). My second CMS50I died, too, of old age and the so-so Dreem 2 needs head-positioning band repair--if, indeed, Dreem even supports use of it now. Erratum: My typographical error in a graphic shows Duty Cycle=Ti/Te where it should have been Duty Cycle=Ti/(Ti+Te) or Ti/Ttotal

RE: ResMed Mirage Liberty mask
The hybrid mask I've used most recent was the Fisher and Paykel Evora Full. I do side sleep frequently. The mask was OK with me, and when I get the proper machine, I'll try the Evora Full again.
It uses a nasal cradle with full face lower.
