ResMed vs. Sleepyhead software

ResMed vs. Sleepyhead software
I have been using a CPAP machine for about 7 months and have not been monitoring my results, but want to. Current machine is a Resmed S9 but will be changing shortly to an AirCurve 10 VPAP. Which software application should I consider?
Many Thanks

RE: ResMed vs. Sleepyhead software
Use them both and decide. They each have their own strengths and they present the same data a little differently. Unless you have a Mac, then use SleepyHead because ResMed doesn't support Mac last I knew.
if you can't decide then you don't have enough data.

I use them both as well. I like being able to generate and save reports in ResScan. The graphics in SH are better as well as the ability to really hone in on the seconds of therapy. In the end it's whatever works for you. The important thing is getting the data and then using it to advance your therapy.

I just use SH, as I do not have a windows box and did not want to set up a vm just for rescan when SH is so completely awesome Smile

Tongue Suck Technique for prevention of mouth breathing:
  • Place your tongue behind your front teeth on the roof of your mouth
  • let your tongue fill the space between the upper molars
  • gently suck to form a light vacuum

Practising during the day can help you to keep it at night

RE: ResMed vs. Sleepyhead software
Until several months ago, I used both SH and ResScan. I love the graphics in SH, and really disliked several things about ResScan. I had kept using ResScan in case I ever needed to have material to present to a Sleep doc or whomever. I finally decided that wasn't a good reason to keep aggravating myself, as I have no Sleep Doc, nor are likely to get one anytime soon. So I dumped ResScan and feel no loss.
