Resmed airsense 11 water tank

Resmed airsense 11 water tank
Seems the biggest ding against the 11 is the fiddly water tank.  I seem to have found a work around. (I didn’t see anything in the forum)  as i was cleaning the tank today. I casually closed the lid and ran water from the sink into the air port (without the seal) and set the tank on the counter.
And what i then saw was a eureka moment. The water was extremely close to the full mark.

So, no worrying about spilling while trying to close the lid.  Just pour and go. No mess at all.

RE: Adjust Airsense for EST time
You are absolutely right, that is how I fill it. I do not open the cap, I just take it out and fill it from the air outlet. But even this drives me crazy. I will find a solution to this soon. I will make a small revision to the water tank so that it can be filled without removing it.

We invert 90 degrees and fill. Very easy and effective.

I see I was late to the game with that tip.

Sorry for posting in the wrong area as well. The board wouldn't let me post in the review section as I'm too new.

The water only heats up when it is told to by you via the settings. Most places I have seen say to set the humidifier to auto.

I turn the water tank on its wobbly side, pick it up and pour through the silicone neck and I fill it to the "in-step" where the tank meets the Resmed.  but I still find it hard to pour clean from a one gallon jug.  The good news is it's only every other night that I have to do it.  By some miracle mine never runs dry, knock wood!

RE: Resmed airsense 11 water tank
Hi.

I been using the AS 11, my first and only, for 2+ years.  I’ve always sat my water tank on my dresser with the lid open and I fill the tank to just a midget below the line, occasionally over the line.  If I fill over the line, I simply pick the tank up and empty a little into a dedicated glass container I dump left over distilled water in in the mornings.  But, back to the original subject, while the tank sits open after filling the tank, just closing the lid, picking it up/handling it has never caused a leakage problem for me.  I’ve read numerous complaints on several platforms about the AS 11 water tank design and I never understood what that was about.  But as I visited various cpap platforms over the 2+ years, I developed a theory about the love/hate relationship some folks have in regards to the AS 11.

If one is careful in filling the tank via the open lid. Then it’s not an issue.  But as most will pour from a rather large jug of water. It can get a bit fiddly and easy to over fill and spill.

Putting the tank on its side and filling via the air ports is just so, so simple and guaranteed to be spill free.  And i always default to easy and problem free.
