Respironics DreamStation plugin Module??

Respironics DreamStation plugin Module??
I have a  Respironics DreamStation APAP machine.

I want and need a Byflex machine. The Respironics DreamStation Auto BiPAP DOM with Bi-Flex.

On the other side under a cover like the one on the right side holding the filters and SC Card is a cover over a removable card.

Is there any chance this is used to set up these machines as CPAP, APAP and Bi-Flex machines??

Or is it just a phone module or other used port?

My understanding is that slot is for the Cell module.

You might be able to change the mode in the clinician settings.  Hold down the ramp and select buttons at the same time for five seconds, then check the therapy menu.  There's a mode section that might have what you're looking for.

Google "dreamstation clinician manual" for more information.

Otherwise you'll need a different machine. I have the basic CPAP version of the DreamStation, and hate that it only reports usage data.

Update: I found a technical manual on the DreamStation. Sounds like you have an X500 model, and you need an X700 model. You'll have to talk to your provider about switching out machines.

Well it was worth a look, old cars used to come with full standard wiring hardness, so if you knew what to do you could plug in the extra options and upgraded stuff.

New cars do not come that way any more. I thing computer picking of parts on the assembly line controls that now.

I thought they might have a basic machine and just change to programing to make a number of models.

But with car some times you can change its performance like I did with a 2000 Mercury Grand Marques by switching its stock PCM with a Police Car's PCM, big performance improvement for only $50.00.

But your right it is a X500.

If there's a way to hack my 200 and give it the 400 or 600 options (mainly for data recording), I would love to know. But so far I'm fighting a losing battle with my provider who gives out the most basic models they can. I might have to force the issue with a new sleep study and ask the specialist for an APAP prescription.
