SD card unreadable Mac - what am I doing wrong?

SD card unreadable Mac - what am I doing wrong?
I put the SD card into the Airsense 11 and the machine formats the card.
When I put the SD card into my Mac (Ventura 13.0), I'm told the card is unreadable. My options are eject/ignore/initialize.
I'm not tech savvy. Nor forum savvy.
Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi KLib! - Welcome

The Resmed does not format the SD card, it only adds the required files to it. You need to format the card to a FAT32 in your PC prior to inserting it into the CPAP.

Thank you.
I don't see FAT32.
My choices are:
MS-DOS (FAT)
MS-DOS (FAT12)
ExFAT

I'm using a 64GB SD card.

The SD Association has free apps to address this. https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/

ExFat is mac speak for a removable card. which means something compatible with fat32

IF you can't get the card to work after doing exfat try installing macfuse and see if it will let you format the card into something readable.

Thanks, everyone, for your help.
After many attempts at formatting, I went up the street and used a neighbour's PC to format an SD card. Worked like a charm.

And yes, a number of the bloody things were tossed in the bin.
