Hose volume

Question
Hose volume
I recently received a smaller diameter heated cpap hose.  If the machine determines the air pressure would a smaller diameter hose produce proper pressure but less volume of air?

RE: Hose volume
If you received a Philips branded heated tube, the Dreamstation 2 will automatically detect it and provide settings to adjust heat.

RE: Hose volume
If tubing is made smaller, does that affect the VOLUME of the AIR ENTERING MASK?

RE: Hose volume
No, it affects velocity in the tube. A narrower tube or pipe can deliver the same air volume or pressure, but any given volume (cfs, mL/sec) will flow faster in a smaller tube.
